I'm building my 2nd PC and I'm trying to decide between two different 16GB (2 x 8GB) RAM sets. The first set is: DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Timing 14-14-14-34 Cas Latency 14 Voltage 1.35V The other set is: DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Timing 16-16-16-36 Cas Latency 16 Voltage 1.35V Using the formula Cas Latency/Clock speed I get: 3200/14 = 0.004375
New RAM is currently super cheap, and 2400mhz is very slow DDR4. If youβre planning to upgrade to 5th gen Ryzen eventually, a 16GB, 3200mhz, CL16 set should be purchasable new for ~$60, would be great for ryzen, and should be compatible with your current system in the meantime, so long as the sticks have an AMP profile.
I have a 3080ti with a ryzen 7 3800x and was wondering if my ram was enough or good enough for my system I have 2 corsair vengeance sticks that are 8GB each at 2400MHz (they are DDR4) Archived post.
The typical frequency for gaming laptops is 2133 MHz, whereas the typical frequency for upscale gaming laptops is 2400 MHz. However, the fundamental distinction is that although 2400 MHz RAM is slower but has a higher bandwidth, 2133 MHz RAM is faster and has lower latency. RAM running at 2400 MHz is faster, but you also need to be aware of the

Might be worth a shot! 2400mhz is pretty slow and most ram that can hit 2133mhz can do 3000mhz so you might not have to spend any money at all! Download cpu-z from here
